Location is good for shopping turn right at the door and your in the Richmond centre Shipquay street is quite lively with bars shops restaurants and clubs. The diamond is on your left uphill leading to the bishops gate (straight on )or to the famous old city gates and walls(left at the diamond) the siege museum isn’t to far away either (all in walking distance) the craft village is directly across the road ( hidden gem). The hotel staff were faultless very welcoming and accommodating, our daughter is Down syndrome and they were brilliant with her always inclusive never patronising. We enjoyed the complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival and the selection of shortbreads and truffles in our room . The food at dinner was excellent. Breakfast was every bit as good freshly prepared to order which many hotels lack these days most going with the buffet style which lacks the personal touch and frankly isn’t as enjoyable as this. Really recommend this venue highly 😃👍

We ended up at this hotel because of a mix up at another location. Despite landing at 10pm, we were greeted by an outstanding receptionist called Maireád. We even got some prosecco after getting our keys. This woman could not have helped us any more and she is a real asset to the hotel. People like Maireád are not so plentiful anymore, unfortunately. Brendan the other operative we met was also so nice. Breakfast in the restaurant was also top class, with complimentary Mimosa’s a nice touch too. Mary the hostess was a real character too, she got our day off to a great start with her great banter. I would say the No.1 thing that would make me return here is the fabulous staff. Well done team 👏

We were treated as very special from start to finish. The staff were exceptional and so helpful. A lovely welcome prossecco drink on arrival. Lovely shortbread biscuits and truffle bonbons under a glass dome in the room. A bottle of water for each guest. Tea, coffee, and hot chocolate provided. Good quality towels in the bathroom, dressing gown and slippers for each guest. Lovely toiletries too. Lovely comfy beds, 1 double and 1 single... Perfect for 3 adults. Restaurant was nicely laid out to have a drink or meal. We had lunch from the menu. Very tasty! Breakfast was excellent with a varied menu. Complimentary Bucks fizz included!!

Amazing little Boutique hotel within the walls of Derry...we visited Derry last year and found this gem of a place for an evening meal and wanted to visit for a stay. A welcoming phonecall from Chantelle to ask if we needed any help was the start of the first class treatment we received from every member of staff. The food was devine, for both dinner and breakfast. The rooms were comfortable and tasteful. I visited with my sister and my friends, we all felt the same way...The Shipquay hotel was faultless and we very much look forward to many more visits...

This boutique hotel exceeded my expectations on every level. Welcoming and helpful staff. Upgrade on the room. Complimentary Prosecco on arrival. Personal welcome note in the room. Plus cookies! Fresh and comfortable towels, sheets and bed. Great restaurant on site. And amazing breakfast was included , so extra good value. And the building is so full of heritage character and beautifully renovated. The one challenge is finding parking nearby. Just know to expect that and use your google maps to help locate nearby parking lots.
